second post for time based project

Time Based Mini Assignment

These two posts are from my time based mini assignment. I work at a bar on second ave called Juju and I bought two disposeable cameras on my way to work on Fat Tuesday and took pictures from the begining to the end of my shift, I thought it would show a good time based progression throughout the night.

Flower Sculpture Progress

So this is my sculpture in progress, I have always done floral in my paintings and drawings, I have been drawn to it on and off and somehow always come back to it and I wanted to try to create a flower with metal for the scale project. There are bigger peices and smaller peices that are still flat, but there is two peices shown above that I have already started to shape with the rosebud torch and then hammering them to create the petal like effect.

First Mini Assignment -Found Art- Mirror Box

This is my found art mini assignment, I had a lot of different ideas, but the finished product ended up being simple but also conducive to how i was feeling at the time...
 i have a box of random things i have had for years on a shelf in my room and i was looking through it for ideas and i found a small mirror and a small brown box, i had initially wanted to use a mirror for this project i think because i have been doing a lot of self and life reflection lately, i felt if i smashed it and created art from something people glance into everyday, it would fit well with the project, i put it in a small box as a kind of containment for the still reflective but broken peices, and thus created a sharp and dangerous, but "pretty" box...
